I develop digital policy and content strategy ABC News Radio.  Occasionally I am sent places to ask questions and conduct interviews.  My emphasis is in the convergence of analogue and digital technology.  I occasionally speak at events about media, politics, and emerging technology.

ABC News:

I'm currently the Digital Platform Manager for ABC News Radio.  My mandate within ABC News is to develop web-based platforms and execute content strategy.  Occasionally I also conduct interviews with thought leaders in politics, culture, and technology.

United Nations:

I've been a credentialed United Nations correspondent since 2007. Using both traditional media (radio, print) and social media (video and audio podcasts, blogging) I've covered many components of the UN including the annual gathering of the General Assembly, the Russia/Georgia conflict, the Myanmar cyclone and countless stakeouts, briefings, interviewed ambassadors, and reported from the annual Talk Radio Day.

2008 Presidential Campaign:

For the Talk Radio News Service I covered several major events on the 2008 Presidential campaign, including many debates, the New Hampshire Primary, Super Tuesday, the Democratic and Republican Conventions, and Election Day.

The Darfur Humanitarian Crisis:

In March of 2008 I spent time in Darfur and South Sudan. I ventured deep within Darfur and reported live (terrestrial radio) and asynchronously (podcasts, blogging, Twitter). Along with colleagues in talk radio, I purchased slaves (two goats per human head), examined resource issues (water, oil), and spoke with victims of war and conflict.

Interviews:

I conduct long and short-form video and audio interviews with politicians, cultural figures, and technology innovators.  A partial list includes: Sen. John Thune, Sen. Tim Johnson, Rep. Bob Ney, Willie Nelson, Chuck D, Jello Biafra, Jay Adelson, Kevin Rose, Chris Anderson, Lawrence Lessig, Ben Huh, Tim O'Reilly, Robert Scoble, Obama Girl, Elisa Camahort Page, Gary Vaynerchuck, Frank Rose, Loren Feldman, Chris Brogan, Jason Calacanis, Gina Trapani, Bre Pettis, and others.

Live Speaking:

I occasionally speak at conferences on issues ranging from news and politics, emerging technology, and the future of broadcasting and talk radio.  I've spoken at: South By South West (SXSW), Talkers Magazine (2007, 08, 09 Keynote), Ignite NYC, Web 2.0, Bulldog Reporter (Media Relations Summit, Reports on Technology Roundtable), Black Hills State University, the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), and a few Podcamps (NYC, Boston). 

Talk Radio:

I've been a regular UN and news analyst on many talk radio programs including ABC News, Air America, WABC, KABC, the Thom Hartmann Show, The Jack Rice Show, This Week in Tech with Leo Laporte
and others.

Online:

In both a personal and professional capacity I help people and companies understand internet and social media best practices.  I've developed web branding, strategy, and execution campaigns for journalists Jack Rice, former congressman Bob Ney, literary agency Johnson Literary, publishing house Egmont USA, the United Nations Correspondents Association, and a few others.  I've been involved with several large-scale projects including a massive iteration of ABC News Radio's online presence.  I was also in charge of the Talk Radio News Service web iterations v 2.0 and 3.0.  I have worked on web content, strategy, and execution with individuals on small projects, and large companies on large-scale projects.  I also ran a podcast called The Creepy Sleepy Show from August 2004 - July 2009.
